Fiction and Film: A Comprehensive Comparison. In this eleven-page undergraduate paper, the author compares the horror films Dracula, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and Frankenstein with the novels upon which they were based. He notes that a movie is an interpretation of a book, and that at times the interpretation takes such liberties that a total recreation or translation takes place. He also observes that films differ from the novels they are based upon because of different target audiences.
